FAQ

  • Q How to use Waterproofing Coating?

    A
    • Silicone waterproof coating can be applied with a spray, brush, or roller.
    • Transparent waterproof coating can be applied with a brush or roller.
  • Q Does Waterproofing Coating come in different colors?

A Waterproof silicone roof coatings come in various colors.
  • Q Is Waterproofing Coating suitable for a flat roof?

    A
Yes, roof coatings are often used on flat roofs to provide an additional layer of protection against water, UV rays, and other environmental elements.

  • Q What kind of roofs can be coated with Waterproofing Coating?

A Almost all types of roofs can be coated. Roof coatings are versatile and can be applied to various roofing materials, including metal, asphalt, and more.
  • Q What are the benefits of using a Waterproofing Coating?

A Apart from waterproofing your roof, roof coatings can reduce your utility costs as most of them have high solar reflectance. This means roof coatings help reflect solar radiation, keeping your home cooler during hot summer days and improving energy efficiency.
  • Q How long does it take for Waterproofing Coating to dry?

A The tack-free time of silicone roof coating is about 30 minutes, and it will take 18 hours to fully cure. Transparent waterproof coating commonly achieves a waterproof effect after 24 hours.
  • Q How to store Chemical Epoxy Anchoring Adhesive?

A When stored correctly, the shelf life will be at least 12 months from the date of manufacture. Cartridges should be stored in their original packaging, the correct way up, in cool conditions (50°F to 77°F) and out of direct sunlight.
  • Q How to use Chemical Epoxy Anchoring Adhesive?

    A
    • Step 1: Drill hole
    • Step 2: Clean hole
    • Step 3: Brush hole
    • Step 4: Inject adhesive
    • Step 5: Plant rebar
    • Step 6: Curing
  • Q What is the shelf life of Polyurethane Sealants?

A 9 months from the date of manufacture when stored in a cool and dry place.
  • Q How long does it take for Polyurethane Sealants to cure?

A Polyurethane sealants typically take 24 to 48 hours to cure fully, depending on the application and environmental conditions.
  • Q Where can Polyurethane Sealants be used?

    A

Polyurethane sealants have a wide range of applications, commonly used in:

    • Construction (sealing windows, doors, concrete joints, and expansion joints)
    • Automotive
    • Marine
    • Electronics
    • Various industrial sectors for sealing and bonding purposes.
  • Q Can Polyurethane Sealant be painted?

A Yes, polyurethane sealants are typically paintable. You should always check the sealant manufacturer's specifications to verify painting instructions. Note that while polyurethane and latex sealants are paintable, if any joint movement occurs, the paint may shrink, creating an unsightly sealant joint. It is recommended to use a sealant color that matches the desired final color.
  • Q What is the shelf life of MS Polymer Sealants?

A 12 months from the date of manufacture when stored in a cool and dry place.
  • Q Can MS Polymer Sealants be painted over?

A Yes, MS polymer sealants can be painted over, but it is essential to use appropriate paint types for the best adhesion.
  • Q How do MS Polymer Sealants compare to other types of sealants?

A MS polymer sealants excel in flexibility, durability, moisture resistance, chemical resistance, and UV resistance compared to other sealants. They are also user-friendly, making them easier to apply and handle.
  • Q Can I paint over Silicone Sealant?

A No, it will peel off. To achieve a paintable sealant joint indoors, it is important to use a good-quality acrylic sealant.
  • Q What mileage can I expect from a 300ml cartridge of Silicone Sealant?

A Use the following formulation: 300 Where: L = Length of sealant in metres obtained per cartridge.
    L = 300 / W*D
W = Width of the joint in mm D = Depth of the joint in mm.
A joint of 5mm width and 5mm depth yields approx. 12.0m per 300ml cartridge
A joint of 4mm width and 4mm depth yields approx. 18.8m per 300ml cartridge
  • Q Why does colored Silicone Sealant fade?

A Colored silicone sealants are tinted with inorganic or organic pigments. Inorganic pigments have limited colors but good weather resistance and are not prone to fading. Organic pigments offer a wide range of colors but have poor weather resistance and fade easily. It is recommended to choose inorganic pigments for tinting to avoid color fading.
  • Q Where can Silicone Sealants be used?

    A

Silicone sealants can be used in a wide range of applications, including:
    Construction
    Plumbing
    Automotive
    Electrical
    Household repairs

  • Q Can I apply new Silicone Sealant over old silicone?

A For the best adhesion, we recommend removing the old silicone. New silicone will bond to old silicone, but the bond is not as strong as it would be on a clean surface.
